TWO SFC E-SPORTS TEAM ELIMINATED IN THE UNIFI EMFL SUPER LEAGUE KNOCKOUT ROUND

Two Red Giants e-sports team, Selangor FC and Selangor FC 2 were left disappointed after losing in the Unifi eMFL Super League 2022 knockout round to their respective opponents recently.

Selangor FC were represented by Kamil Jamaluddin (Maxnevis) and Husnain Hakim (Rainnn9), who finished the league in 3rd place, were eliminated in the 3rd round of the 'Lower Bracket' after losing 0-2 to PDRM FC while Selangor FC 2 who were represented by Putera (Killer) and Alif Dani (411) were also beaten earlier by the same opponent PDRM FC with a 0-2 result in the first round of the 'Lower Bracket'.

Beginning the competition in April, Kamil and Husnain finished 3rd in the league after collecting 67 points from 34 matches (21 wins, 4 draws, 9 losses), only separated by 5 points with League Champions, Melaka United FC who managed to collect 72 points (22 wins, 6 draws, 6 losses).

On the other hand, Selangor FC 2, represented by the pair of Putera and Alif Dani, managed to finish the league in 9th position after collecting 52 points as a result from 14 wins, 10 draws and 10 losses. This position saw Selangor FC take home RM4,000 in cash as the 3rd place winner of the league while Selangor FC 2 took home RM2,000 in cash for positions 9 to 12.

This is the 3rd year of the Unifi eMFL Super League and this year is the best position that Selangor FC has ever achieved which is in 3rd place compared to the previous achievement of the last two editions in 5th (2021) and 9th (2020).

A total of 18 teams competed in the Unifi eMFL Super League this season, where the best 12 teams will compete in the knockout round aiming to win the championship along with an overall cash prize of RM40,000.
